The ongoing Karachi operation would continue “indiscriminately” against terrorists and militant wings of political parties, a Rangers spokesman said on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman, Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar chaired a meeting on Wednesday night to discuss the law and order situation in Karachi.
The meeting was held hours after renowned Sufi singer Amjad Sabri was shot dead by unknown assailants in Liaquatabad area of Karachi.
Rangers spokesman Mumtaz Jakharani condemned the killing, terming it as “a big tragedy”.
“Amjad Sabri was an asset of the nation. The country has lost a legendary Qawwal,” he added.
