Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minister of State Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry taking notice of the water shortage in various sectors of Islamabad suspended the Federal Water Management Cell (FWMC) Director General (DG) over negligence.

Chaudhry on Friday took a strict notice of complaints and media reports regarding the severe water shortage in different areas of the federal capital, which is making the life of citizens miserable in intense hot weather. He suspended the DG over negligence and failure to ensure a smooth supply of water.

Chaudhry directed FWMC to remain alert and keep the complaint cells in sectors of the capital functional round the clock.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also directed to increase the number of water supply tankers, making all the tube wells operational, and ensure a smooth supply of water to citizens of Islamabad, especially during the holy month of Ramzan.

  1. It is useless to add comment, because no ministry/department or organization is bothering to resolve the bulk civic/public nuisance issues of sector G-13. I would request the press media to visit this sector and highlight the long outstanding civic issues, which includes non-supply of water , sewerages problems, road and other related problems. It seems that sector g-13 is not part of Islamabad capital territory and is located in a very…very….very non developed remote area of our beloved country.
