32 more dengue cases reported from city

As many as 34 more dengue viral fever cases have been reported in Sindh province in a week, out of which 32 were detected from Karachi, taking the patients toll to 692 in the province since January 2016.

According to the weekly report issued by the Dengue Prevention and Control Programme (DPCP), Sindh, at least 34 new dengue fever cases surfaced in Sindh province from June 3-9, 2016, out of which 32 were reported from Karachi, one each from Ghotki and Larkana.

Total 32 new dengue fever cases were reported in Karachi last week, out of which 16 were reported from District Central, six from District West, seven from District East, two from District Malir and one from District Korangi.

In 2016, total 692 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province January 2016, out of which 639 were detected from Karachi, 12 from Hyderabad, five from Sukkur, four from Tando Muhammad Khan, three each from Dadu, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar and Larkana, two each from Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Umer Kot, Sanghar Naushero Feroz, Ghotki, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirbad and Shikarpur.
