The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out an operation in Kohat region on Tuesday and arrested a terrorist belonging to a banned outfit.
According to sources, the detained terrorist was identified as Gulab Sher.
Two hand grenades and pistol were recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to CTD, the provincial government had set Rs one million prize for the arrest of the accused who were involved in different criminal activities, including terrorism and kidnapping for ransom, since 2009.
The CTD registered a case against the accused under Terrorism Act and shifted him to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
