Unknown gunmen opened fire at a policeman’s house n early Saturday morning and fled the scene. No casualties were reported.
According to details, the gunmen opened fire at DSP Qamar Ahmed’s residence at Block 16, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. “A CCTV footage shows two men on a motorbike entering the street. They open fire at the house and flee”.
DSP Qamar Ahmed said that the men fled when he shot at them. Ahmed has been a core team member of SSP Rao Anwar’s team. He has played an important part in the Karachi operation fighting terrorists from banned outfits and political parties.
The police have collected initial evidence and are looking for clues through the CCTV footage. In a separate incident, police arrested three alleged terrorists in an injured condition near Eidgah Ground, Landhi. Weapons were also recovered from them, police said.
