The Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued their protest on the 19th day for the acceptance of their demands on Saturday.

According to details, the medical practitioners closed OPDs and chanted slogans against the hospital managements, urging them to accept their demands. The action created difficulties for the patients in hospitals.

The protesters stated that they are holding a peaceful sit-in over non-payment of salaries. They complained that the provincial government is not taking any action in this regard which is unacceptable.

The doctors demanded recovery of abducted Dr Irshad Khosa and also warned of intensifying the protest if the government failed to resolve the matter till May 24. YDA also announced to stage a sit-in outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on May 25.
