Three more target killers detained for 90 days

Sindh Rangers on Wednesday detained three suspects, allegedly belonging to a political party, for 90 days after informing Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) about their preventive detention for questioning.

The Rangers along with its counsel produced the suspects Muhammad Arif, Ali Haider Naqvi and Waseem Ahmed before the administrative judge of ATC amid tight security.

The paramilitary submitted the papers to the court according to which they had credible information about suspects’ involvement in target killing, extortion and offences that comes within the ambit of Anti-Terrorism Act. According to Rangers, the suspects were arrested during a targeted operation in the city. The court directed the provincial authorities to form a joint investigation team within 15 days for interrogating the suspects.
