For a long time now, we know that Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have been dating and that the couple have been keeping a low-key about making a public appearance.
But things changed at the Met Gala 2016, it seems like he wanted to prove beyond all doubt that he is her knight in shining armour.
The former One Direction star and his model lover had gone all out for their red carpet debut as a couple, wearing matching metallic outfits.
For Zayn Malik, who wore plate armour sleeves as he escorted Gigi Hadid at the Met Gala in New York on Monday.
The dashing 23-year-old hunk looked every inch the young, if financially challenged, Sir Lancelot with his armoured sleeves, suit jacket, trousers and shiny leather shoes.
Gigi, 21, meanwhile made a perfect Queen Guinevere in her custom made gown by Tommy Hilfiger Collection. We love the heavily embellished bodysuit and necklace combined with the sheer gun metal skirt. It manages to be tough and soft and that’s an intriguing mix.
The pair certainly managed to snatch plenty of attention as they posed up a storm at the thrilling event, outshining some of their more stories glamour rivals.
The Met Gala was, as predicted, a seriously glamorous affair. Perhaps the most glamorous night of the social and fashion calendar.
The theme was ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’ and the stars of the red carpet really went for it with their take on futuristic dressing. Think embellishment, metallics and space age accessories.

Oh and did we mention, the couple held hands practically the WHOLE time they were on the red carpet. Not only that, they kept looking at each other the way we look at food.
Yup, that’s right, that’s how awesome they were.
