Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Parvez Elahi at his residence on Thursday.
During the meeting they exchanged views on various matters including the UNO Crimes Investigation Committee on Panama Leaks and agreed that the Leaks should be probed by a fully powered commission and in this regard services of an internationally renowned forensic audit firm should also be acquired.
On the occasion, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema and Mohammad Khan Leghari were also present.
Talking to media after the meeting, Ch Parvez Elahi said Nawaz Sharif has always showered favours on Shehbaz Sharif wrongly and made him chief minister as he is PM’s brother. He said that he has run away from the country at a critical time on the pretext of backache and noted that he is not defending his elder brother and his niece and nephews.
He said Shehbaz Sharif should come out of the wagon of Orange Line. He said “Shehbaz Leaks” are bigger corruption than Panama Leaks, which has destroyed prosperous Punjab of our tenure.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on the occasion, praised the political wisdom of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi, said that the PTI wanted to benefit from their experiences and wisdom. He said the stances of PML-Q and PTI are clearly the same and corruption is on the rise, therefore, the two parties should formulate a future line of action on PTI’s Foundation Day on April 24 after consultation with other leaders.
Expressing gratitude to Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Ch Parvez Elahi said that Panama Leaks has been brought on the rulers by Almighty Allah and not by the opposition. He said the state of good governance of Shehbaz Sharif can well be imagined from the fact even Chhotu Gang is not being apprehended.
He said that Panama Leaks corruption apart, the biggest corruption in the country is jangla bus and Orange Train of Shehbaz Sharif. He said that three contractors are roaming around through Punjab picking up all the contracts.
He further said that 112 cases were registered against them during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif. He said their factories were raided and afterwards they were given apologies. He said victimisation is in the blood of the Sharif family.
