The Lahore High Court on Monday directed for attaching record of Panama Papers with the petitions against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his secret offshore wealth.

The petitions claimed that the secret papers of offshore accounts had proved money laundering of the prime minister and his family. It urged the court to declare the PM ineligible to hold his office.

The LHC is hearing at least four identical petitions against the prime minister for allegedly stashing wealth abroad after his name was revealed in the Panama Papers among other world leaders

The plea also requested the court to order registration of a money laundering case against the Sharif family.

It also said that former interior minister Rehman Malik should also be declared ineligible.

The court has adjourned the hearing for April 14 after seeking record of the leaks.
