Karpal Singh, Indian spy on death row, dies of cardiac arrest

Karpal Singh, an Indian spy on death row in Pakistan, passed away at the Jinnah Hospital on Monday following a heart failure.

Singh, 55, was arrested by Pakistani security agencies in 1991 over his involvement in a bombing at the Faisalabad Railway Station in 1990. He was being held in the death cell of Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail where he suffered a heart attack on Monday.

Karpal, who hailed from Gurdaspur, was convicted of murder and destroying property and an ATC court had sentenced him to death on May 20, 1993.
