Karachi – Our New Party Correspondent: Speaking at a press conference after the official naming of his party, former Karachi Nazim Mustafa Kamal said that Pak Sarzameen Party was actually the second choice for the name of his party.

“I wanted for my patriotic party to be named after the party that got us our motherland,” he said. “But the Muslim League has many factions. What to name our faction? So I thought what better faction to name our party after than the founder of the nation? So, PML-Q was our first choice.”

“Plus, it was what our colleagues chose the last time they carved out a political party from another political party,” he added. “And it seemed to work back then.”

“So, I wanted it like a lucky charm. If we could break the MQM the way the N was broken, left to almost a shell while the leadership was abroad, that would be very nice.”

“It is unfortunate that the Chaudhrys of Gujrat did not let us use that name and are still sticking on to it,” he said.

Upon being asked about the current political status of the PML-Q versus the PML-N, the Kamal concluded the press conference.
