A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking registration of a case against Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz, his wife Umm-e-Hassaan and students of Jamia Hafsa for inviting Daesh to Pakistan.
Civil society activities Khurram Zaki filed the petition through his counsel Asif Mukhtar Malik taking the plea that students of the radical Jamia Hafsa madrassa through their video on social website Facebook had invited Daesh to strike Pakistan to avenge the Lal Masjid incident. Maulana Abdul Aziz and his wife Umm-e-Hasssan have accepted this video was released after consultation with them, the plea added.
It has been said in the petition that this situation is a matter of great concern for peaceful and patriotic citizens.
The petition further said that application was filed with Aabpara Police Station three times for registration of case but no case has been registered so far.
The petitioner prayed the court to issue orders to police for registration of case against Maulana Abdul Aziz, Umm-e-Hassan and students of Jamia Hafsa. The interior secretary, defence secretary, secretary law and justice, IG Police Islamabad and others have been made respondents in the petition.
