Six new colleges approved for Rawalpindi

A decision has been taken to construct six new boys and girls colleges in Rawalpindi.

An official said that Punjab Chief Minister has accorded approval to all six of these new colleges. Grant amounting to Rs200 million has also been approved at initial stage. Boys’ colleges will be built in Dhamial, Rawat, Changa and Nakial. Both boys and girls degree colleges in Dhok Syedan will be completed this year. Girls and boys colleges in Saddar area will also be completed this year.

With the completion of these six colleges, about 6,000 to 7,000 students will be able to seek admission into first and third year classes.
