Some judges of special and civil courts in Rawalpindi district Kachehri are forced to work in leaking and dripping offices amid incessant rains.
Many offices of the judges and lanes of the district courts have turned into small ponds due to the broken sewerage system, multiplying miseries of clients, lawyers and judges. The dilapidated offices in the Kachehri may cause a mishap if repair and maintenance work is not carried out, the legal fraternity has said.
District Bar Secretary General Sardar Bilal Qayyum said, “Though the Waste Management Company has deputed seven people for the upkeep of the courts, they were never available when needed. The local authorities have been informed about the situation and we hope things will improve in coming days.”
