The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned hearing of the bail plea of Sheikh Haris Afzal main accused in BoP corruption scam till March 16 and directed the National Accountability Bureau to form a medical board to examine the accused health condition.
The court also directed to provide all medical facilities to Harris Afzal and also directed all respondents to submit concise reply in this regard.
The two-member bench comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the bail plea filed by Sheikh Afzal against arrest of his son Sheikh Haris Afzal.
During the course of proceedings, Sheikh Afzal appeared before the bench and stated that he was ready to pay amount if it is remaining.
The NAB prosecutor told the court that the accused had to returned luxury cars of Bank of Punjab and a bunglow in Dubai.
On this Asma Jehangir Counsel for Sheikh Haris stated that the Banglow was on the name of Sheikh Haris Afzal and she alleged that the NAB officials in collaboration with BoP sold the bunglow in Dubai on a fake power of attorney in 2012.
Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that the bunglow was sold in 2012 but the NAB approached the court in 2016 which clearly shows the negligence of NAB officials.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial asked that why the NAB officials did not visit Dubai to bring back the national exchequer.
