National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Monday made yet another blunder by issuing the same identity card number to two locals.
According to details, Azmat Mahmood stated that after his NIC of number 37402-5408238-9 expired, he went to NADRA’s Kahuta branch and submitted Rs 1,500 for his new smart card as told by administration.
Azmat said when he was about to collect his card; he realized that the same number has been allotted to another local Sohail Sharif who lives in Kallar Syedan.
The local said that his ID card was blocked due to the issue and is only left with the photocopy.
He further urged the authorities to resolve the matter as early as possible as he works in Saudi Arabia for livelihood and came to Pakistan for the renewal of card.
