A family play focusing on drug addiction and its consequences was staged on Friday evening under the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC).
The play titled “Joro ka Ghulam” was written and directed by Naeem Bubba and played by Naeem Totta, Rizwana Khan, Laiba Ali, Ansar Qureshi, Sawera Khan, Imran Ch, Arshad Khan, Imran Disko, Azhar Kiani and Shahzad Mughal.
The aim of the play was to raise awareness about the effects of drugs and its business.
The story gains momentum when the sole son of a drug dealer gets addicted heroin and consequently killed by a rival mafia.
Resident Director at the occasion said RAC has always brought forward the concept of social change through meaningful entertainment.
The focus in all major plays by RAC has been social issues plaguing our society, he added.
