PML-Q President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said that improving condition of the people of province should be priority of government instead of giving billion of rupee annual subsidy on metro bus and train projects.

Talking to media persons at his residence on Sunday, he said that Rs140 annual subsidy on metro bus and train projects will be additional burden on people of province who were already in grip of multifaceted crises. These projects will deprive them of basic amenities such as education and health facilities, he added.

He alleged that contract for construction of orange train has been awarded to such an inexperienced firm which has not undertaken such projects previously and it deals in arms business.

Parvez Elahi said people are protesting everywhere but the provincial government is hell bent upon eliminating beauty of provincial capital and demolishing historic buildings.
