Motorway Police take new initiatives to further improve performance

National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has taken several new initiatives to further improve its performance.

Talking to APP, an official of NH&MP said on Sunday that first aid training to patrol officers is being given who are the first responders at accident scene. He said that ambulance service has been launched and 9 ambulances have been provided to Motorways and Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway and 14 dispensaries are being established at 14 sector offices.

Moreover, he prepared 12 chapters on road safety syllabus for school, college level and sent the same to education departments of federal and provincial governments for inclusion in their curriculum.

He said that motorway police has started FM Radio service to educate the masses on road safety, discipline and to provide timely road and weather information. NH&MP has also started SMS Service to get feedback of commuters to whom helps are rendered.

He said that pilot project of e-ticketing on some beats on Motorway and a national highway has been started.
