Minister of State for National Health Regulations Saira Afzal Tarar on Friday said that necessary steps would be taken for the elimination of corruption in health sector.
Talking to media, she said rules and regulations would be adhered to in the establishment of new medical colleges in the country.
She urged the medical colleges to ensure merit in the admission process to improve the image of medical profession.
Saira Tarar said Pakistan Medical and Dental Council was an autonomous body and its recommendations for bringing improvement in the medical field would be implemented, if needed legislation would also be made.
