The dangerous trend of one-wheeling continues on busy roads of the twin cities, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, causing number of accidents.
A number of youngsters were seen doing one-wheeling and bike stunt on various roads particularly on 9th Avenue near sector G-8, posing risk to lives.
Usama, a motorist said, young bikers are a social nuisance who put not only their lives on risk but also the other motorists on the roads.
“Driving has become difficult in presence of groups of bikers,” Fayyaz Khan a motorist said, adding the young men continue to fall off their bikes and die while doing one wheeling or other dangerous stunts.
He said the department concerned had failed to control this practice which also disrupts the traffic flow besides posing threats to lives.
When contacted an official of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) said the department was carrying an effective campaign to control one wheeling and other violations by the bike riders.
Hundred of motorbikes have been booked and challaned for the offence, he informed.
The ITP official revealed that during last year 80-95 motorcyclists were fined for violation of different traffic rules on city roads.
