The Punjab Food Authority (PFA), in its ongoing crackdown on eateries offering substandard foods, sealed four canteens of four hospitals here on Wednesday.
According to PFA officials, the canteens in Lahore General Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Ghurki Trust Hospital and Shaikh Zayed Hospital were selling substandard and unhygienic food items. Heavy fines were also imposed on the canteens in Shalimar Hospital, Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, Childrens Hospital and Ghulab Devi Hospital. The raids were conducted by officials of the Punjab Food Authority along with special teams of the town administrations.
