The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to club together letters from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and party member Aleem Khan together.
The letter from Khan sought copies of documentary records pertaining to the inclusion, deletion, and transfer of vote in NA-122 Lahore for the period between General Elections 2013 and by-elections 2015.
Aleem Khan’s petition has already been fixed for hearing before the election commission on January 19, a representative of the commission said on Monday.
The decision was taken by the Election Commission, after Imran Khan’s letter to the chief election commissioner of Pakistan.
In this context, it is clarified that the ECP is already aware of the matter in the petition put forth by Aleem Khan, and is conducting open proceedings where the parties concerned are being duly represented by their respective counsels, he added.
