Anti dengue spray imported from India is of substandard quality: report

Anti dengue spray medicines named ‘Teami Phas’ imported from India by the Punjab Health department worth billions of rupees to completely eradicate dengue virus from the province have been declared expired and of substandard quality.

According to sources, thousands of kilograms medicines are stored in 36 districts of Punjab. Like other districts, the spray was used in Rawalpindi district for killing the dengue mosquito’s larva but to no affect.

Sources said that consultation from experts of Agriculture University was also sought for destroying the substandard medicines.

Some sources said that the expired spray is stored with other life saving drugs and it could be dangerous.
