Years after the incident NAB asks Mashood to submit written reply in the matter; Also decides to probe Punjab Youth Festival ‘scam’
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an investigation into the video scandal case and the Punjab Youth Festival scam and sought a written reply from Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood.
NAB investigators met with Rana Mashood for three hours and apprised him about the allegations against him. The NAB asked Mashood to submit a written reply before a formal investigation was launched.
Mashood told the NAB team that the allegations against him were politically-motivated. A source close to Mashood told the news agency that he would submit the reply after consulting his legal team. Mashood has previously rejected accusations of fraud in Punjab Youth Festivals calling them baseless and ridiculous.
