Centre-province imbroglio

These days centre-province imbroglio is developing without any resolution in sight. In fact it is the outcome of 18th amendment which gives powers to a province. The truth is if the centre is weakened there would be centrifugal forces developing towards breakaway of provinces. Whenever the centre is weakened such problems are bound to germinate. In fact a weak centre is a sure recipe for disorder and wrongly conceived provincial autonomy. The PPP is inherently fond of full autonomy even to the length of breakaway of a province.

Actually a strong federal minister of interior is maintaining the strong federal bond which is Godsend these days of unhealthy trend of so called provincial autonomy which has gone to the head of CM Sindh who is a miserable provincial chief acting as a mouthpiece of PPP co-chairman who would rock the boat even if it sinks to achieve his unbridled pursuit of power which is a heady brew not to be taken too much. Sitting in Dubai he calls the shots which the unfortunate Sain of Sindh is supposed to carry out. The PPP is suffering from a disease of grandiose in late Bhutto’s shoes which are too big for Zardari who is known to be cunning like a fox while the poor CM is like a drugged rabbit forced to act on his master’s voice.
