FATA Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi has said that security forces should take the civil administration and local elders onboard prior to conducting door-to-door search operation in Landikotal.

Addressing the opening ceremony of “Modern Education Section” organised at Universal Public High School here on Sunday, Taj Muhammad Afridi said that the people of Landikotal have always supported security forces in their actions against militants and efforts for restoration of peace.

He said that tribal people have rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism as thousands have had to leave their homes and migrate from their ancestral areas. Despite all this they haven’t bowed down before militants.

Senator Taj Muhammad said that people of Landikotal are loyal to Pakistan and they will never let anyone sabotage the peace of the region and hurt national interests.

He said modern education was the need of the hour and it should be the first priority of parents to educate their children. He said that developed nations were ruling the world due to their domination of modern education and technology.

The FATA senator paid rich tributes to martyred students and teachers from APS Peshawar. He said that the APS attack was a national tragedy but it united the nation on a one point agenda i.e. to fight and defeat terrorism.

He lauded the efforts of MD Modern Education School System, Wali Khan Shinwari for his efforts to impart quality education in Landikotal.

Speaking on the occasion, Wali Khan Shinwari and Landikotal Chapter All Teachers Association President Ghafar Khan Shinwari said that private educational institutions were imparting quality education in the area.
