Huge increase in livestock in Cantt areas speaks failure of the Cantt administration

Residents of Cantonment areas are facing immense problems due to cattle markets mostly set up during day time on footpaths in Chungi No 22 and the animals moving around freely, while no check and balance by the administration is quite amazing.

According to details a huge increase in the livestock and other animals has been noticed creating difficulties for the residents, as this has become a beneficial business and the owners of the dairy animals don’t care for cleanliness. The residents, who are keeping buffaloes and other animals, are also throwing waste in open ducts and sewers causing unpleasant smell.

In addition it has been seen that most of the time these animals eat grass and plants planted along roadsides, occupying footpaths and roads, creating lot of difficulties for pedestrian and vehicles.

The residents in this connection told that sometimes animals enters in their houses if they forget to shut the gate and eat plants and spoil the green grass carpet in and outside the houses.

On the other hand during day timings footpaths mostly turns to cattle markets in Chungi No 22 area of cantonment and occupied by fodder.

The residents in this connection requested the administration to take serious notice of this problem to control such animals and the code of conducts should be made and implemented by the administration to make the cantonment clean and green.
