Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Sunday said that the farmers’ package announced by the PM was only for the farmers of Punjab and not for Sindh.

Talking to media persons, he said that farmers community of the country was in miserable condition but the government did not take care of the lives of farmers and rural life because rulers lived in cities.

“Rupees 5,000 per acre is insufficient for farmers. The government should give farmers minimum Rs 20,000 per acre,” he added.

Criticising the existing government of PML-N, Shah said no change had been brought in Pakistan as the federal government had completely failed in every matter. Only the PPP brought changes in the country, he commented.

He further said that neither the energy crises had ended nor salaries of the employees were increased, adding that the PM had announced to end load shedding in the country within three months but subsequently changed his stance that outages will end it in the year 2018. “Which statement of the PM should be considered trustworthy?” he questioned.
