An anti-corruption team on Thursday conducted a raid in Sindh’s largest children care hospital and seized its record.

An official of the National Institute of Child Health confirmed that the anti-corruption had team conducted a raid in the hospital at around 03:00pm. He said anti-corruption officials had seized the record of medicines.

The anti-corruption team called the administrative officials from their homes and also barred the staff from leaving the premises. The team member investigated the purchase of costly medicines and medical instruments in the hospital.

Director National Institute of Child Health, Prof Jamal Raza, when contacted, told PPI that the raid of anti-corruption was a routine matter as they were conducting raids as per court’s order. He said the raid team members had checked the record of hospital and they were facilitated in this regard.
