A seven member delegation of the Senate of Pakistan led by Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani left for Beijing today on the official invitation of Mr. Yu Zhengsheng, Chairman, Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) who is ranked fourth in the Chinese hierarchy.
During his four days visit to China, Mian Raza Rabbani and his delegation will have meeting with Mr. Zhang Dejiang, Chairman, National People’s Congress (NPC), ranking third in Chinese political structure. In addition to this, the delegation shall also meet Mr. Wu Zhiming, Chairman, CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee during their visit to Shanghai.
The delegation comprises of Senators Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Saeed Ghani, Hidayatullah, Usman Khan Kakar, Nauman Wazir Khattak and Taj Muhammad Afridi.
It may be added that, since assuming Office of the Chairman Senate, this is Mian Raza Rabbani’s first official visit to China.
