The Real Estate and property business in Islamabad has adversely affected after the ongoing drive against the business activities in residential areas of the city by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

As per media reports, Jamil Abbasi, a property consultant and President Traders Association Jinnah Super Market told media that after the campaign of civic agency new business activities have not been initiated in the federal capital and this crises has created financial constraints for the property dealers of the city.

“A three-judge bench of apex court would conduct hearing of the case regarding business activities in residential areas filed against CDA for this drive on 5 November. This bench of apex court was constituted after the retirement of former CJP Jawad.S.Khawaja”, Abbasi added.

He further told that we are waiting for the verdict of the court in this regard. After the court verdict it would be possible for traders to launch a new business.

The traders of super market and Jinnah super market said that we have space on top floor for the show room and restaurants while owners of restaurants and boutique were insisting to get space on ground floor for their business. “Space is available on the top floor of various plazas in blue area with rent of Rs.7 lac to Rs.10 lac per month”, Abbasi concluded.
