PML-N leader and State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali Tuesday apologised to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for violating the code of conduct in the first phase of local government elections in Punjab.
The hearing of the case was held at the ECP office. During the hearing, the counsel for Abid Sher Ali submitted a written apology to the ECP on behalf of the minister. He said that he fully respected the dignity of the ‘esteemed institution’.
The ECP in its reply said the final decision would be made after assessment of the apology tendered by the minister.
The hearing was adjourned till November 26.
