The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) foiled a massive terror bid and arrested a foreign terrorist along with explosives and detonators during a crackdown on Thursday.
According to details, the CTD, while reacting to an intelligence report, conducted an operation in the Morgah area during which a terrorist identified as Sabir, belonging to the Kunar province of Afghanistan, was apprehended with explosives and detonators.
In the preliminary interrogation, the nabbed terrorist disclosed that he was planning to attack key political personalities and security forces.
The detained terrorist has been shifted to an undisclosed location and more arrests were expected as he was being interrogated.
