Minister of State and BISP Chairperson Marvi Memon chaired 24th meeting of the BISP Board at BISP Secretariat on Tuesday.
It was the third meeting since Marvi Memon assumed her office in February this year. The Board members including representatives of Finance, EAD, Foreign Office, Cabinet Division, Dr Zeba A Sathar, Yawar Irfan Khan, Dr Ali Cheema and BISP Secretary attended the meeting.
According to a press release issued from Islamabad, the BISP chairperson shared fresh initiatives undertaken by the organisation and briefly discussed the agenda items of the meeting. She stated that by exploring new avenues of cooperation and adopting technology-based innovative solutions, the BISP was moving fast towards improved standards of efficiency, transparency and service delivery which indicated present the government’s resolve to fight the menace of poverty.
