PML-N’s rigging will out, believes PTI

• Sarwar says will quit politics if he fails to provide proof of vote transfer in NA-122
• Claims around 2,401 such complaints received by his party

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab Organiser Chaudhry Sarwar announced Saturday he would quit politics if he could not provide proof regarding vote transfer in the NA-122 by-election, claiming that around 2,401 such complaints have already been lodged with his party.

Addressing a press conference, Sarwar said an all-party conference would be called where the PTI would present proof of vote transfer in the NA-122 constituency. “The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz may also join that conference,” he went on to say, complaining that after the Lahore by-poll fresh electoral rolls were still not being provided for the local government (LG) elections, due on October 31.

At the news conference, ex-district nazim of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid Nemat Ali Javaid, two former provincial ministers Dr Tahir Ali Javaid and Pir Saadul Hassan Shah; Pir Ejazul Hassan Shah, Mian Noor Sharif and Munir Waseem announced joining Imran Khan–led PTI.

Sarwar, on the occasion, welcomed the newcomers, observing that the PTI had become a major political party of the country due to which people from other political parties were coming to its folds. He also sounded confident that the PTI would defeat the rulers in the LG elections.

In a separate statement, Sarwar declared the incumbent rulers as the driver of money laundering activities, and called for a probe by a Supreme Court commission into their corruption.

He was of the view that more than half of the government functionaries would land in jails if a transparent accountability process was initiated.

He said the sitting cabinet ministers were beating about the bush in the wake of ever-increasing popularity of the PTI.

Sarwar warned the ruling PML-N that the PTI could not be suppressed by threats of institution of cases, adding that the rulers could not befool the masses by expressing that they would launch money laundering cases against Imran Khan.

The PTI leader further said the government’s power generation project were such dreams that would never come true.

He said the PML-N was in fact afraid of PTI’s growing popularity. He said the cabinet ministers were now awe-stricken and were trying to keep their party politically alive by hurling statements on PTI and its chairman.

Sarwar made it clear that his party was ready to give any kind of sacrifice in their war for bringing change in the status quo for a prosperous Pakistan.

He said people of Pakistan were strengthening the PTI and the days of the ruling elite were numbered.
