CDA removes unauthorized bill boards, signboards, confiscates unhygienic milk

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has removed illegally installed bill boards and other advertisement boards from the city. Especially constituted task force of Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) is conducting operations across the city.

During an operation, DMA removed eight bill boards and 20 directional boards installed illegally along the Islamabad Express Way.

During another operation, DMA has also removed number of bill boards of different sizes installed illegally along the Kashmir Highway.

Moreover, unauthorized streamers / political banners installed illegally in Markaz F-6, F-7, F-8, F-10, F-11, I-8, I-9, Blue Area and along the Park Road and I J Principal Road. All confiscated material has been deposited to the CDA store.

DMA task force also took action against unhygienic milk sellers in the city, nine milk canes were confiscated from illegal milk vendors.

CDA Management has directed to ensure proper monitoring and continue the operation against unauthorized bill boards, directional and signboards in light of the Advertisement Rules 1977 within the Capital Limits indiscriminately.

Due to effective monitoring and concrete steps taken by the Authority revenue has substantially increased. Management has further directed the DMA to fix all possible lacunas, plug leakages and ensure transparency to meet revenue generation target. CDA Management has also directed to extend scope of the operation all over the Islamabad and take strict action against the violators of CDA Municipal by laws.
