Armed robbers deprived a woman of cash, jewelry and other valuables at gunpoint within in the Naseerabad police jurisdiction.
According to the police, armed robbers held the four-year-old baby of a woman, Nasima*, hostage at gunpoint on Misriyal Road before depriving her of 15 carats gold, cash and other valuables worth Rs0.6million. The woman surrendered to the demands to get her child free.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Lateef, a resident of Civil Lines, lodged a complaint with the local police that burglars broke into his house and made away with Rs0.12 million prize bonds, Rs25,000 in cash.
The police have registered cases in both the incidents and started investigations.
