Punjab police have made comprehensive security arrangements on Eid to cope with any untoward incident.
According to the plan, 51,974 officers and officials who will include 289 gazetted officers; 664 inspectors; 2,296 sub-inspectors; 3,339 ASIs; 2,662 head constables; 28,152 constables and 11,887 Quami Razakars, police sources said.
Meanwhile, 126 walkthrough gates, 9,651 metal detectors and 1,039 CCTV cameras have been installed on big congregations while officials in uniform and plain clothes will perform duty in cattle markets also.
