Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar said on Tuesday that the mastermind of Badaber attack had been traced back to Afghanistan while 9 out of 14 attackers could not be identified.

In a statement, the federal minister said that the place where terrorists stayed had also been identified. He said the mastermind belonged to Afghanistan and that a manhunt was ongoing. He confirmed that the number of terrorists killed during the Badaber attack was 14 and not 13.

Nisar reiterated that the evidences that the culprit is in Afghanistan would be provided to the Afghan officials. “Our side is under control, the attack’s perpetrators are across the border,” Nisar added.

He said that when someone sneezes in Afghanistan, the blame is laid on Pakistan, adding that Pakistan desired to express tolerance instead of leveling allegations on others.

“We don’t owe Afghanistan anything. We are neither scared nor answerable to it,” he said.

The minister said that it was possible for an operation to take place from Pakistan into Afghanistan, acknowledging that it would further strain relations between the two countries.
