The Punjab government is paying full attention to speedy completion of the energy projects, said Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speaking to a delegation from a prominent international institution on Friday.
He said that high standard and transparency in the projects was the hallmark of the government and merit was also being ensured.
The chief minister said the government was taking measures on an emergent basis to cope with the issue of shortage of electricity, adding that power projects were being implemented without wasting any time.
He said that besides traditional methods, due attention was also being paid to alternative sources of power generation for controlling the energy crisis.
The delegates told the chief minister that they were deeply impressed with his vision since he had set a high standard of transparency in the province.
Punjab Power Development Company Chairman Arif Saeed, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, the secretary energy, chief executive officers of the Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Limited and Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park were also present on the occasion.
