NAB approaches LHC for physical remand of PPP’s Qasim Zia

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday approached Lahore High Court, seeking physical remand of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qasim Zia.

During the hearing, NAB officials requested the court to hand over PPP leader to them for the recovery of looted money. The court asked about Zia’s offer regarding pre bargaining (amount refund) on which NAB lawyer stated that the authorities are inspecting Qasim Zia’s offer.

After listening to the arguments, the court adjourned the hearing till September 23 and sought final reply from NAB.

It is pertinent to mention here that NAB arrested Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) former Punjab president Qasim Zia for alleged fraud worth of millions of rupees.
