Two suspected Lyari gang war members killed in shootout

At least two gang war operatives were killed in a shootout with Rangers in Karachi’s Lyari area on Sunday.

Rangers on a tip off conducted an operation on Mirza Adam Khan Road. The suspect opened fire on the officials retaliating to which two gang war suspects Adnan Baloch and Sajjad Ganga were killed.

The suspects belonged to Lyari gang war’s Uzair Jaan Group and were involved in murder and various activities of extortion. Besides this, in OrangiTown’s area Mominabad, one suspect was killed in an alleged police encounter. According to police the suspect was wanted in murder, extortion and other heinous crimes.

Separately, in another incident unidentified men shot dead a man, identified as Waseem, near Liaquatabad’s super market whereas a police officer was gunned down in Malir Gazi Goth. Moreover, a man also got injured in firing incident on Jamshaid Road.

TWO KILLED, FOUR INJURED IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS

Two persons were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence in the metropolis on Sunday.

A youth, Niaz, 20, son of Riaz, was killed and Waseem, 22, son of Afwaj, injured by unknown armed men near LiaquatabadBridge. The body and injured were shifted to Abbbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

The body of a man, identified later as Jalal Uddin, 34, son of Khaleel Uddin, was found from NIPA Chowrangi Flyover area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body was shifted to JinnahPostgraduateMedicalCenter for a post-mortem.

A man, aged about 28, was shot at and injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on him in Ayesha Manzil, Fedaral B area. He was taken to ASH for treatment. A youth, Zohaib, 26, son of Muzzafar, was injured by dacoits when he offered resistance to them in Liaquatabad Underpass. He was rushed to ASH for treatment. A man, Shams-uz-Zaman, 65, son of Ismail, was also injured while resisting dacoits in a bid of robbery in Jamshed Quarters No 2. He was brought to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
