Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting today which reviewed various matters with regard to Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project.
Addressing the meeting, the CM said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train is the first of its kind project in the country. He said that this project has special significance for the people of Punjab as well as the whole country. He said that like other development projects of Punjab government, the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project will also be a masterpiece of construction work and standard. He said that work will be carried out around the clock to ensure completion within the stipulated period. He said that modern transport facilities will become available to citizens as a result of completion of this project.
The CM further said that Punjab government is spending huge resources on the provision of safe, comfortable and economical transport facilities to the masses. He said that completion of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project in the provincial metropolis will bring a revolutionary change in transport culture. He said that this splendid project will be completed speedily and in a highly transparent manner. He said that entire team of Punjab government has worked very hard on the project.
Shehbaz Sharif directed concerned authorities to ensure a high standard of the project at any cost as no compromise will be made on quality of construction work. He said that safety arrangements of international standard should be made during implementation of the project. He said that comprehensive planning should be made for maintaining the flow of traffic so that people should not face any difficulty. He said that a vigorous public awareness campaign should be launched during construction work. He said that concerned federal and provincial departments should work in a coordinated manner for removal of utility services from the route.
