Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has hinted at replacing Manzoor Wattoo from the post of PPP Punjab president.
According to details, Bilawal Bhutto presided first party meeting of PPP Punjab chapter with regard to forthcoming local bodies (LB) elections in the province.
Differences within the party ranks came in open in the very first meeting and the PPP officials from several districts burst out in front of the party chairman.
PPP members including Raja Riaz said that Wattoo has caused enough damage to the party and demanded his replacement.
The PPP chairman rejected the demands to immediately replace Manzoor Wattoo, however he hinted his removal in near future. He said a decision will be made through collective opinion after consultation with the district heads.
Bilawal concluded that some tough decisions will have to be taken in order to strengthen the PPP in Punjab.
