In another of its series of crackdowns against eateries and food outlets serving unhygienic food, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Tuesday imposed heavy fine on Gourmet Bakers and Sweets Gulshan-e-Ravi branch.
The PFA’s Samanabad team found unhygienic conditions in the bakery’s stock room. The same team also visited a restaurant named Mr Zinger food and Biryani in Gulshan-e-Ravi and sealed it due to non-availability of food license. The team also found that the workers were working without a medical fitness test.
Furthermore, Data Ganj Bakhsh town team visited Arif Hotel in Bilal Ganj on public complaint and sealed it due to unhygienic conditions. They witnessed flies and dirty washing areas with open drainage in the kitchen.
