CM to leave no stone unturned to end load shedding

A delegation led by Huaneng Shandong Power Company of China President Wang Wenzong called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday to discuss important matters regarding Sahiwal Coal Power Projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz said that the important project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be given a practical shape at the earliest. He said that despite hindrances created last year, no effort will be spared for completing the project in a record period. He said that two coal power plants of 660 megawatt each at Sahiwal is another glorious example of Pak-China friendship. He said that work on 1,320 megawatt project is being carried out speedily.

The chief minister said that federal and provincial departments concerned will extend all out cooperation for early completion of the project.

He said that all possible facilities and security has been provided to the engineers and staff of the Chinese company working on the site. He said that the project is of vital importance for the nation.

He said that super critical power plants are being set up in this project which are environment-friendly. He said that every moment is precious for the project.
