Two soldiers and three suspected militants were killed in a clash in Bannu’s Daryaba area on Thursday.
According to details, suspected militants attacked the Khadim security checkpost, killing two soldiers while three assailants were shot dead in retaliatory gunfire by the security personnel.
Bannu has witnessed a number of attacks and was the scene of a massive jail break in April 2012 during which 384 prisoners escaped from its central prison.
