The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has refused to pick and dispose of the trash of PIMS hospital’s residential colony, causing nuisance for the residents.

Though the hospital administration repeatedly requested the civic agency to pick and dispose of the garbage, the CDA refused to oblige the request arguing that since garbage-picking has been outsourced to private contractors, it could not make arrangements to lift the garbage. The civic agency has told the hospital administration that they should hire a private contractor to pick the rubbish.

After the refusal from the civic agency, the hospital administration has dug a trench near the residential colony to dump the garbage.

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Akram said that several requests have been made to the civic agency to dispose of the garbage but they have been refused to be entertained.
